Also in April we went to Anna's (Donna's No 2) First Communion. All attended, except Tricia had a softball game scheduled that Saturday morning. About half way through the ceremony, Donna (down front) got a cell call from the coach. Tricia got line-drive hit in the face with a softball. It puffed up fast. Donna sent Randy to field but coach got Tricia to church first and it looked better by that time. All is well.

In May Jake did his middle school football thing. He was quite good. In a previous game, the other coach made our coach take Jake and his 305 lb buddy out because they threw the center airborne into the quarterback. Jake is 6' 2" 215 lb. Pretty big for the 8th grade.

Bill and Dawn did the Memorial Day pool party along with a couple of birthdays. All had a great time.

In June, little Clay had a birthday pool party at is home. It was a great day even though we had a little rain.

Also in May, OLD Clay got a new toy. It's "Radio Your Way LX". It looks like an iPod but records AM or FM radio as MP3s on a 1 gig SD chip and can be listened to with earbuds or transfered to PC. It's programmable like a VCR. MP3s can be moved to RYW also. I now can record Hanity, Savage and copy Rush's PodCasts to it for later listening.

As you would expect, July was a very busy month. It started off with Ken, Betty, Andy, Logan and two dogs arriving in time for the July 4 pool party at Dawn's. All had a good time.

Next, Sharon (David's bride-to-be)was given a shower. As no men attended, we have to determine from the photos that they had a great time. It looks like it. Of course, it's a gal thing.

Still in July, we had the wettest July on record. This day, 3 inches dumped in an hour. It did good for the green growing stuff but with 160 feet of beans, we got one mess. With the rain and little sun, the blooms just did not happen.

When the October drought hit, Pat did get about 3 gallons of them but it was still a bad year for beans.

With all the rain and thunder, we took advantage of Mike's indoor heated pool followed by a great cook-out.

Still in July, it was Chucky Cheese time, probably somebody's birthday. Though Tricia looks mad, she really enjoyed herself.

Naturally, they couldn't get by without American Adventure. Another long day but they all came home happy.

These days, when Betty et al comes for the 5 week visit, the et al includes Zoe and Dudly. Last year Zoe's feet never touched the ground. This year she did a lot better.

The boys had their play station in the basement and usually had help playing it.
