Now we get busy. The Danhauers in KY decided to have the annual bergoo makin' at their Lake Malone cabin a month early (Sep 24th). We had to go to Owensboro first to see their new home under construction over looking the Ohio River. It looks like it's going to be a great home with a great view and even an elevator.

We then drove to the lake for the bergoo fest. Two days of prep followed by a full day with all their kids and grandkid doing the cooking. First we toured the lake and then had a big dinner at Fat Jonny's.

We usually bring back a couple gallon jugs but as we were heading to Texas via a 2 day stop at Tunica, we got some in quarts frozen in our cooler. It turned out well by adding some ice and using Betty's freezer in Rockwall TX.

We left on Sunday and drove through Rita or at least two blinding rain bands between Nashville and Memphis. Other wise we did the usual Tunica donation.

On to Texas. We were there for two weeks. First we we went to the 1st Monday at Canton. It's a flea market with 6,000 booths. They have about everything (except computer stuff).

Clay took a lot of photos for the purpose of opening another shopping area for the women. If you see anything you want, send a lot of money to Betty and she'll FedEX it to you. She's a for-profit person.

We had the customary baseball watching but now soccer and since Andy is now in middle school, he's in high school hockey which practices at 9pm and we declined because of our old age.

We did the North Texas Fair too. It was really something.

There were cars and cars and cars and food and food and games and rides and etc.

We also got a tour of the Dallas Farmers Market. They had outstanding stuff and Pat got Clay some eggplant.
