29 Good years - McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems Co.: Engineering Safety for the RVTO, AF Reentry Vehicles (USAF-Vandenberg AFB). When traveling to California; visited Brendan Murphy on his yacht
Managed the Engineering Safety effort for the US Navy Harpoon Missile. Included a unique and interesting job for two years; helped design and build a new Missile plant in St.Charles,.
Too much traveling while managing the Engineering Safety effort for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile; Conventional and Nuclear Versions for the USAF (ALCM & GLCM) and the US Navy (SLCM). Really fun job Managing the Ordnance Integration effort for the Advanced Interdiction Weapon System. Designed, tested, and flew in less than a year without US Navy help.
10 Really good years - Retired, Spend time maintaining Family estate (sounds better than Family Farm) which is actually a mini resort (hiking, trail riding, hunting, fishing, boating, swimming, etc.) located in Southern Illinois. Still enjoy working on machines only now they are antique tractors. Volunteer at local parochial school and Hospital Engineering Dept.
