EXPERIENCE


1956-1957, Development Engineer, Rocketdyne Division of North American Aviation: Supervising development and production test of vernier rocket engines for Thor and Atlas missile systems. 1957-1959, Active Duty, Lieutenant, United States Air Force (stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, California). Served as Project Engineer for Air Force tests of Thor and Titan missile propulsion systems and alternate X- 15 rocket plane propulsion system.

1960, Engineer, Rocketdyne Division, North American Aviation: performing studies on mobile intercontinental ballistic missile systems.

1962-1963, Project Engineer, Pneumodynamics Corporation: working on development of thrust vector control systems for the Polaris missile. Project Manager for the development of a very high temperature liquid rocket test engine for Edwards Air Force Base.

1963-1965, Technical Specialist with BellComm, Inc., an AT&T Bell Labs Company, to assist NASA headquarters in development of Apollo system. Work involved establishing specifications for Apollo system and coordination of specifications with NASA Centers.

1966-1979, Law Practice and family business

1979 to Present, Partner, Thompson and Llewellyn, P.A., Fort Smith, Arkansas; General practice concentrating in commercial litigation, including aviation and education law and FAA regulatory law. Commercial pilot with single, multi-engine and instrument ratings.
