Northrop Grumman Corp., B-2 Division, Palmdale, CA. Nov. 1984 to Jan. 1998

System Integration Manager for the B-2 weapon delivery system. Managed matrixed engineers and subcontractors who were tasked to modify the aircraft radar, mission management subsystem, operational software, armament subsystem; and to implement additional GPS satellite selection capabilities for the B-2 GPS aided navigation subsystem. The integration program culminated in B-2 relative targeting/weapon delivery flight test demonstrations and ultimately resulted in the present B-2's operational capability.

As a Systems Weaponization Lead Engineer, guided engineers conducting studies of weapon conceptual designs, aircraft installation related aerodynamics, mechanical integration, and launch platform/weapon avionics interfaces. Coordinated Division sponsored projects for Harvey Mudd College's annual engineering clinic program.

Project Manager of an Advanced Technology Air-to-Air Missile program, that included the technical direction of a matrixed organization consisting of 50 engineers and technicians

As a Project Manager of selected engine exploratory and advanced development programs, was responsible for the direction of personnel and resources leading to the development, and ground and flight test performance demonstrations of propulsion systems suitable for Navy-defined missions

As a Weapon System Analyst, conducted studies of existing and advanced weapon systems that established the performance and effectiveness of various concepts with primary emphasis on the interaction of the major weapon system components including launch platform, airframe, propulsion, control, guidance, and warhead and fuse.

As a Member of the Technical Staff, was assigned to the F-14/AWG-9 radar liaison group between Hughes and Grumman Aircraft, comparing AWG-9 weapon system fire control solutions with predictions, and analyzing flight test data during the checkout and verification program phases.
