Education History

Duane Cypret (Park's '56 AE) and I were sent to maintenance officer's school at the same time, in Rantool, Illinois.

Following school, we both were sent to Japan. Duane went to Brady Air Force Base and I went to Itazuke Air Force Base, both on the southern island of Kushu.

We were released from the Air Force in late 1959 and Duane returned to McDonnell.

He worked for Mac until about 1985.

As for me, you can include the following in my curriculum vitae.

Professional Life

Worked for Marquardt, the ramjet maker, in Van Nuys after graduation. Entered Air Force in December 1956.

Attended maintenance officer's school in Rantool, Illinois.

Then sent to Japan for two years.

Returned to Van Nuys for a year, then moved to Dayton, Ohio to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a civilian in the Flight Dynamics Laboratory.

Remained at the Flight Dynamics Lab for the rest of my professional career.

Retired in 1998 to pursue model airplane and toy train hobbies and escape office politics.

Out of retirement in 2000 with the birth of triplet grandchildren. Presently full time day care with a little time left over to volunteer at the local WACO aviation museum. The WACO factory was near Dayton.
